Our standard weekly scooping rates are $14 for the first dog and $3 for each additional dog, billed monthly on your last service day for the upcoming month. Many clients also choose our sanitizing and deodorizing add-on for $4 per week.

For new accounts, we charge a start-up deep cleaning fee of $25 or more, depending on the level of deferred maintenance. Most first-time cleanups average around $75, though heavily soiled yards can exceed $400 to restore the space to a fresh, clean-slate condition.

One-time scoops start at a minimum of $50.

Note: For billing purposes, a “dog” includes most four-legged pets that regularly use your yard, such as cats, tortoises, pot-belly pigs, rabbits, and similar animals.

Getting started is easy. In most cases, a quick phone call — usually five minutes or less — is all it takes to set up service. We can handle everything over the phone, and you’ll be billed automatically via the credit or debit card you authorize after each visit.

No. Most people aren’t home during the day, and you don’t need to be. But if you want to be there for the first visit, we can set up a time window to meet you and your dog. Just tell us.

We accept all major credit cards — Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover. After your initial visit and first payment, your card will be securely stored for future transactions in our encrypted Stripe vault.

For safety and accuracy, our scoopers cannot accept cash, checks, or card payments at your home.

You can always visit our Client Hub to view invoices, receipts, make payments, or submit service requests.

The Utah Registrar of Contractors does not require pet waste management companies to be licensed. However, we operate as a registered limited liability company with the Utah Corporation Commission and are fully bonded and insured to protect our clients, employees, and our business.

Our company vehicles are covered by commercial auto insurance, and all employees are protected by Workers’ Compensation Insurance in the event of an injury.

We typically charge the same rates regardless of dog size or yard size, though we may add an upcharge for unique situations. Some assume small dogs should cost less, but their tiny Tootsie Roll–sized poop is often harder to find — especially in gravel or thick grass.

If any price adjustment is needed, we’ll let you know during the first visit before starting service.

Our service window runs from dawn to dusk, Monday through Friday, with route days varying by area. We’ll gladly try to accommodate special scheduling requests, though it isn’t always possible. Give us a call and we can let you know which day(s) we service your neighborhood.

Because every yard is different week to week, exact arrival times aren’t guaranteed. Some visits are quick when waste is concentrated, and others take longer when it’s scattered or when dogs have digestive issues that require extra cleaning and sanitizing. For that reason, we ask for flexibility on your scheduled service day — though if you ever need more specific timing, just let us know.

You’ll receive an email and text reminder the day before each visit, plus a text message when our team is on the way. (Standard text and data rates may apply.)

We scoop your dog’s waste each week using a precise grid pattern — north to south, then east to west — so nothing gets missed.

After scooping, we bag everything, seal it airtight, and place it in your trash can. If you’ve added sanitizing and deodorizing, we treat all high-waste and heavy-urination areas before leaving.

For heavily soiled or smelly artificial turf, we can comb out all waste and then apply Wysiwash to dissolve, disinfect, and eliminate deep odor-causing residue, including diarrhea or wet, messy waste.

Dog waste left in your yard or on artificial turf doesn’t just look bad — it creates real health risks. Flies are attracted to feces and can carry bacteria into your home and onto surfaces where your family eats. Pets also step in their own waste and track residue inside, onto couches, beds, and countertops. Even cat waste in the yard carries dangerous bacteria and parasites.

We’re obsessive about keeping germs where they belong — far away from you and your pups. Before stepping into any new yard, we scrub and disinfect our hands, shoes, and tools, then wrap our entire scooping basket in a fresh trash bag like it’s going into surgery. The result? Zero chance of unwanted hitchhikers like parvo tagging along from one yard to the next.

And once we clear your yard, the magic really happens. No more poop piles inviting every fly in the neighborhood to their little backyard buffet. With the waste gone, so are the odors, the pests, and the invisible bacteria they love to drag from yard to yard or, worse, from dinner plate to dinner plate.

Clean yard. Happy dog. Healthier home.

After each visit, we bag your dog’s waste, seal it airtight, and place it neatly in your trash can or wherever you prefer. If you’d rather not store it on-site, we can haul it away fora small fee.

Dog waste on artificial turf doesn’t just sit on top — it gets mashed into the fibers, attracts flies, and ends up tracked inside on your dog’s paws and onto your furniture. Turf and the sand base beneath it also trap urine odors, which can build fast without regular cleaning.

The solution is consistent care: weekly removal of all solid waste, a fresh layer of our lavender deodorizer and sanitizer, and a monthly or quarterly Wysiwash deep clean to disinfect the turf and reset odors.

We maintain artificial turf for hundreds of homeowners across West Salt Lake and Utah Valley. We can keep yours clean, fresh, and odor-free too.

There is a small extra charge on the first visit if the yard hasn’t been cleaned in a while. And if you’re the type who wants to tidy up before we arrive — don’t. Let us handle the dirty work, with first-visit fees starting at just $15.

We also charge the regular weekly fee if we arrive but can’t access the yard due to a locked gate, an aggressive dog, or any other barrier. A $2 per day late fee applies if a card is declined and not updated the same day.

For dogs with frequent diarrhea or loose stool, there may be a $3 charge to cover the extra time required to scrape, clean tools, sanitize shoes, and notify you about potential health concerns.

A $25 cancellation fee applies to any new-account visit canceled without 24 hours’ notice.

For insurance and liability reasons, we can’t accept keys or enter your yard through your home, garage, or any interior space. Instead, we’re happy to provide you with a new combination padlock for your side gate at no charge. That way we can access your yard safely, without the risk of lost keys, and you can share the code with anyone else who needs it, like your landscaper or pool service.

No, unless your dog is genuinely aggressive or a certified man-eater. Most pups are thrilled to see us — the biggest challenge is that they all want pets and they all know exactly which pocket we keep the treats in.

It depends on the weather. If it’s just a light drizzle or on-and-off rain, we usually still work. We also service most holidays (except Thanksgiving and Christmas) because, well, your dogs don’t take holidays from pooping. On those days we put everyone on deck, management included, so we can finish routes early and enjoy the holiday too.

No formal contract is required. By paying for our services, you’re giving Rocky Mountain Pooper Scoopers implied permission to access your property to scoop, clean turf, and perform any services covered in our Policies and Procedures. There’s no minimum commitment — you can cancel anytime with 24 hours’ notice. Our full Policies and Procedures are available.

We offer a full range of services: scooping at homes, condos, townhomes, and apartments; one-time cleanups; artificial turf cleaning and disinfecting; patio rinsing and dog-run sanitizing; Wysiwash heavy disinfecting; dead pet pickup; gift certificates; and free estimates.

You’ll also get email and text alerts before we arrive. And the best part? Our referral program. Tell your friends, neighbors, family, or coworkers about Rocky Mountain Pooper Scoopers and you earn $50 for every signup.
